Ronnie Lott: Safety

Ronnie Lott was one of the best defensive backs in the National Football League and is surely headed for the Pro Football Hall of Fame. A veteran of four Super Bowl championship teams, Ronnie shares the rookie season record for most touchdowns by interception and was selected as an All-Pro at free safety, strong safety and cornerback. He played in the Pro Bowls following the 1981 through 1984 seasons as well as the 1986 through 1991 seasons. In addition, Ronnie shares the NFL post-season record for most interceptions with nine.

As one of the hardest-hitting players in the game over 14 extraordinary seasons, Ronnie commanded respect from teammates and opponents alike. He lifted the level of any defensive secondary and struck fear into the hearts of even the most experienced offensive players. He moved quickly and hit with the power of a runaway locomotive.
