Jim Lachey: Offensive Tackle
Jim Lachey demonstrated why he was a National Football League first round draft choice upon graduation from Ohio State University in 1985 as he was a mainstay in the Washington Redskins offensive line from the time he joined the team in 1988. Jim was selected at the offensive guard position for The Sporting News College All-America team in 1984, played in the National Football League Pro Bowl for the 1987, 1990 and 1991 seasons and was selected as an offensive tackle on The Sporting News National Football League All-Pro team from 1989 through 1991.
Through dedication and hard work, Jim mastered the skills required to be a dominating force on the Washington Redskins offensive line and to provide the Redskins with the kind of consistent play necessary to launch a successful offensive attack.
Jim was a devoted student of the game and proved that hard work and dedication to the concept of team play paid off both on and off the football field.
In his "All Pro Sports Football Series" DVD, Jim shares his life story and discusses conditioning and teaches the basic fundamental techniques of drive-blocking and pass protection. He also shares his secrets for maintaining the self-confidence necessary to attain success.
