Kevin Jones added 81 yards and a touchdown on the ground in defeat.

Green Bay took a 7-0 lead on its second possession when Favre connected with Jennings, who sprinted 75 yards down the right sideline for a touchdown with 7:03 remaining in the first quarter.

On the ensuing possession, the Lions tied the game on Kitna's 37-yard TD pass to Shawn Bryson, capping a six-play, 79-yard drive.

After a three-and-out by the Packers, Detroit took over on its own 22-yard line, but Kitna was intercepted on the first play of the drive by Marquand Manuel, who took it 29 yards for a score to put Green Bay up 14-7.

With three seconds left in the first, Kitna found Williams in the end zone for 42 yards to knot the game again. Williams' TD reception was set up by a 25- yard catch by Dan Campbell on 3rd-and-1.

Dave Rayner's 24-yard field goal gave the Packers a three-point lead with 7:51 to go in the half. The 13-play, 69-yard drive was highlighted by a 17-yard catch by Bubba Franks.

Green Bay took a 24-14 edge on Favre's five-yard toss to Donald Driver with 6:44 remaining in the third. The 10-play, 80-yard drive was helped by a personal foul penalty on Detroit's Kalimba Edwards, which eventually set up a 24-yard reception by Koren Robinson on 3rd-and-7.

Detroit cut its deficit to three on the next possession when Jones ran five yards off right tackle for a touchdown. Eddie Drummond's 44-yard kickoff return gave the Lions great field position to begin the drive.

In the fourth, Favre hooked up with Green for a 10-yard TD pass to give the Packers a 10-point lead. Favre also hit Donald Lee for 32 yards on the four- play drive.

Jason Hanson's 40-yard boot capped the scoring with 5:24 left in the game.

The Lions had two more chances with the ball. Kitna was sacked on 4th-and-2 on the first play after the two-minute warning to turn it over and Detroit got it back with 54 seconds to play, but a desperation heave from midfield as time expired fell incomplete.
